The drone was operated by DownWind, one of Israels largest commercial drone operating companies. FlightOps technology enables enhanced onboard decision-making and reduces reliance on communication, thereby reducing the exposure to human errors.

Israeli drone technology company FlightOps has received a first-of-its-kind commercial approval from the Canadian Aviation Authority to operate drones without visual contact with the operator. The software platform of FlightOps allows drone service providers to fly thousands of different types of drones in shared airspace. The company is also involved in the largest commercial project in the drone field today - the aerial delivery service of the American Walmart network. The companys revenues from granting licenses to use its technology in the world of delivery drones will reach $1.5 million this year, and the forecast based on the agreements the company has signed is that next year the revenues will exceed $10 million.

Multi-Drone Operating System FlightOps Delivers Medical Lab Tests by Drone
FlightOps, a multi-drone operating system provider, has used its software to deliver medical laboratory tests via drones. The operation was part of a project by the Israeli Innovation Authority and Ministry of Transport. The tests were transported between Hillel Yaffe Medical Center and Sha’ar Menashe Mental Health Center. The experiment confirmed that the quality of the samples was not compromised during flight. FlightOps recently announced a commercial agreement with DroneUp, which offers last-mile delivery solutions for Walmart. Walmart plans to expand its DroneUp delivery network to 34 sites by the end of 2022.

FlightOps provides operating system for Walmart drones
Israeli startup FlightOps will provide operating systems for a fleet of drones that will deliver food and groceries from Walmart to American households. The project will begin before the end of the year and will involve 150-300 drones operating in Arizona, Florida, Arkansas, Texas, Utah, and Virginia. The drones will be operated by US company DroneUp using FlightOps software. FlightOps, which has raised $1.5 million from its founders and a $1.3 million grant from the Israel Innovation Authority, is currently raising another financing round. The company has agreements with other service providers including Canadas Volatus Aerospace and has a cooperation agreement with chipmaker Qualcomm.
