Forter Acquires Immue to Enhance Bot Detection Capabilities in Wake of Rampant Attacks
Digital commerce trust platform Forter has announced the acquisition of Immue, a bot detection company based in Tel Aviv, Israel. This is Forters first acquisition and is expected to strengthen its fraud management capabilities and add Immue’s domain-specific bot expertise. Bots are often used by sophisticated fraud operations to monitor and automate purchases from merchant sites. The acquisition will expand Forters fraud prevention solution stack by improving its bot detection capabilities.

Immue discovers new exploitation of Apple's private relay
Israel-based cybersecurity company Immue has identified vulnerabilities in Apples iCloud Private Relay, which could allow threat actors to launch untraceable attacks. Immue detected attacks coming from IPs associated with Apple, Akamai, and Cloudflare servers. Apples private relay technology, introduced in 2021, allows users to browse securely without being tracked. However, Immue found that attackers were using the private relay to mask their IPs and launch attacks. Immue recommends that fraud detection systems relying on IP addresses be updated. Immue offers anti-bot and anti-fraud defense solutions to mitigate the impact of cyberattacks on businesses.
