Men Are the Guests Here, Says Founder of Tel Aviv Women-First Coworking Space
Panthera, Israel’s first coworking space for women, was opened last month in Tel Aviv by Galit Ana Ben Simhon. The 1,000-square-meter space, which admits female entrepreneurs and companies run by women, offers cultural events, lectures, and business courses. Ben Simhon, a former executive at Israeli satellite television provider YES and insurance companies AIG and Phoenix, partnered with Limor Dahan, a radio broadcaster and media persona, and Shani Burstein, a digital strategy and marketing consultant, to open Panthera. The founders raised nearly NIS 6 million (approximately $1.7 million) to build Panthera and now plan to open additional locations in Israel and Europe.

Israel's first female-oriented coworking space offers women a pedestal
Panthera is Israels first women-centric coworking space that aims to support women in their professional endeavors and create a network for successful businesses. The space offers a multitude of services, networking opportunities, and hosts cultural events. The rise of feminist movement has contributed to the popularity of female-oriented coworking spaces. Women in Israel earn only 69% of average monthly male salaries, and women account for only 7% of founders and co-founders among Israeli startups. Panthera seeks to address these disparities and provide a platform for women entrepreneurs.
