PTC Overview
PTC Inc provides software and platforms for businesses to operate and manage their IoT technology. Its products aid companies in developing their products from conceptualization through to lifecycle support. Companies use PTC software to design their products via 3D modeling, derive analytics, collaborate, and provide services for their clients. PTC also focuses on the Internet of Things, offering the ThingWorx platform for developing and managing connected objects. PTC's development center in Israel has been operating since 1991 and has two local branches in Herzliya and Haifa. The center takes an active role in most strategic PTC solutions and platforms: The industry-leading CAD (Computer-Aided Design) solution - Creo CAD Software and Mathcad; Service Lifecycle Management (SLM) Solutions - InService; AR (Augment Reality) - Vuforia; IoT (Internet of Things) ThingWorx; Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Solution Windchill; 3D visualization and Computer Graphics. In 2013, PTC acquired the Israeli database analysis company, Enigma. The addition of Enigma helped PTC to expand the ability of PTC to provide its customers with a complete solution for managing their products' lifecycles. PTC also sponsors the start-up accelerator MassChallenge in Israel.
