PTC Appoints Jon Stevenson as Executive Vice President, Chief Product Officer

The new Maeving RMS1 model, inspired by designs from the 1920s and iconic figures like James Dean, is the companys most powerful electric motorcycle to date. Maeving, based in Coventry, England, is the first British manufacturer of electric motorcycles.

Two development teams from PTCs centers in Israel have won the companys Innovation Impact Award. The award is part of an international innovation program, now in its third year, in which 936 employees from the companys development centers around the world participated and 72 projects were presented. This year, a mixed team of developers from Israel and India, and another team from the companys development center in Herzliya, won the award for the best product innovation. They developed a personal assistant within the companys computer-aided planning software, Creo, which helps users solve problems, overcome situations where they do not know how to proceed, or need help to complete the task.

Enterprise Software Company PTC Promotes Ziv Belfer to Division VP of Global R&D

PTC Inc. has signed an agreement with Technion University to support the establishment of a center for robotics and digital content. PTC will invest $7 million to finance the creation of the center and cover its operational costs for the first 3 years. PTC employees will also participate in the activities of the Robotics Center and provide their software to Technion students. Both parties are open to expanding the cooperation to include Technion institutions in the US and China. PTC Inc. specializes in 3D design software and product lifecycle management and has a strong customer base that includes major manufacturers like Toyota, Lockheed Martin, and Boeing. PTC buys Israeli company Enigma
US company PTC has acquired Israeli company Enigma, which develops software for the management of maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) for complex equipment. The financial details of the deal were not disclosed, but market sources believe it was for only a few million dollars. Enigmas software solutions will complement PTCs service life-cycle management (SLM) offering and distinguish it from its competitors. Most of Enigmas employees will be taken on at PTCs Herzliya branch.
