The vest is being tested in a national clinical trial to determine its effectiveness in monitoring and managing lung fluid, reducing hospitalizations, and improving quality of life. A previous study showed an 87 percent reduction in heart failure hospitalizations with the use of the vest. Patients in the trial will be followed for up to nine months.
