UC-CARE Overview

UC-CARE has developed a patented diagnostic and treatment system designed to improve procedures for prostate diseases. The system aims to solve the problem of blind biopsies and to provide an improved system for focal treatment. Navigo is a device that allows physicians to image, plan, place, and record prostate biopsy samples in high-resolution 3D, allowing them to more confidently sample precise areas of the prostate and record biopsy locations for future reference. Navigo Viewer is a CD given to patients upon completion of the procedure. It enables patients and the referring physician to view the procedure summary and keep a record for future follow-ups. SmartBx is a biopsy core preservation and management system that is designed to seamlessly integrate into the TRUS biopsy procedure and contribute to a high cancer-detection rate and improved cancer management, especially for active surveillance processes. Navigo Fusion Studio is a software solution for fusion planning. Its automated algorithms allow radiologists and urologists to quickly prepare images to be processed by Navigo. Cases are automatically sent to the Navigo workstation, streamlining the process from planning to procedure.

Israeli medical device company UC-Care has received a $1 million investment from Florida Funders to support its operations in Florida. UC-Care offers medical devices for prostate cancer diagnosis and treatment, and its products have been approved by the FDA.
