Wonder Veggies gears up for 2025 launch of probiotic fresh produce: ‘We’re creating a completely new category’
Israeli agrifoodtech startup Wonder Veggies is planning to launch the worlds first probiotic fresh produce in partnership with undisclosed companies next year. The company has developed a technology that allows probiotic bacteria to penetrate plant tissue and serve as endophytes. The technology was developed based on the research of Prof. Oded Shoseyov and Prof. Betty Schwartz at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Dr. Lilach Iasur Kruh at Braude Academic College. The company has already raised a $3 million seed investment from JVP, one of the largest VCs in Israel.
